Conditions of Stay

Please note that anyone booking the flat, and then wishing to cancel, must do so more than a month before their intended occupancy, or be liable for the lost contributions towards flat costs. Similarly, anyone failing to take up their booking, must not expect to get credit for their payments, unless the flat is re-let for all of the period originally booked. During the popular school holidays, the flat will be let in one week periods only. So that the maximum number of people can go. Where possible people with children of school age should be given priority in school holidays, and half term holidays.

Access to the flat is by use of the door key, kept in the keysafe, at the entrance to the flat. The number will be given to you, as the flat is booked. The number will be changed on a regular basis to prevent any squatters.
Ensure that all electrical appliances, are switched off, before vacating the flat., unless being immediately followed by another guest.
The fridge should be turned off, and the door left open, unless you are aware, that you are being followed into the flat.
There are two electricity meters for use in the flat. The one on the left is for general use, and lighting, and takes pound coins and two pound coins.. The meter on the right is for the storage radiators, and takes pound coins, but costs about £4 a night.
There is a small water heater in the kitchen for instant hot water, which is switched over the sink. There is also a switch for an immersion heater on the right side of the small toilet, which supplies hot water for the bathroom sink. There are also two heated towel rails, one in the bathroom and one in the kitchen.
The local binmen come to take the rubbish early on a Tuesday morning, so please leave the black bags at the end of the steps for collection.

There are two double beds and two single beds. Please ensure that you bring top and bottom sheets, or bottom sheets and duvet covers, pillow cases for each bed you intend to use, and strip the beds when you are departing. You will also need towels,tea towels, toilet and bath mats etc. If you have young children, who may wet the bed, please arrange to bring rubber sheets with you. Cleaning cloths are also needed. Please replace any cleaning product that has been used up.
Will you ensure that the immersion heaters are switched off, when you leave, unless you are being followed into the flat. Breakages and losses can and do occur, please replace any small items broken.

Will you note in the log book, any items missing, or broken, then replacements can be arranged.
When you leave the flat will you please leave it as you would hope, and expect to find it. We do have a cleaner now who will hoover and dust the flat. However, if the kitchen is used, then all pans, dishes, plates etc need to be cleaned as well as the oven, grill.  If you have any comments on the flat when you enter it, please make note of them, in the flat log book.
It is recognized that the flat needs modernising, and refurbishing, but care and attention to the flat until any future work is done, will make everyone’s stay at the flat much better.

With your share of the expenses of running the flat the kitchen has been refurbished, as well as the bathroom. An extra toilet has been installed where the airing cupboard was. If you have any suggestions about the improvements and repairs, then put them in the book, or give me a ring.
